Hi friends. Happy Thursday. It's a good old fashion rainy day here. I dig it.
What's been up around here? Just the normal summer time fun! Charleigh's vocabulary has taken off and she is starting to talk a lot more. She also had her first all girl meltdown when her favorite pair of shoes didn't fit. Ha! She is an 18-month-old energizer bunny and it's a lot of fun. She's working on counting to 10, ABC's, and colors. Her daycare does a ton of teaching. She is happy when I drop her off and happy when I pick her up. That's a good feeling.
I'm actually leaving my current company after a year and a half between two agents and going back to my old company. The transition has been smooth and welcomed. I won't be working for my old boss, but instead a new boss at the old company. Did I lose you?
Last night was taco night. I have been a vegetarian for over 3 years now and the only time I miss meat is taco night. However, last night, I made great strides in the vegetarian taco concoction dilemma. Black beans, FRESH Maryland sweet corn roasted with garlic salt, paprika, and pepper, Spanish rice, refried beans, and avocado. Like the picture above, only no sour cream. I am allergic to that. People always seem curious about Greg and what he eats. Ladies and gentlemen, he's from Wisconsin, he's a meat and potato sort of guy. I make taco meat for him of course. I make meat for him all week, every week. I don't have any problem cooking it for him and now Charleigh too. It's just a personal choice for me.

Bad news comes don't you worry even when it lands good news will work its way to all them plans...

Took a mini break!
Hi everyone. Hope you all had a great 4th/long weekend. We did. I spent time with my husband and daughter and truly soaked it up. I watched Charleigh play with her babies. I watched her care for them by rocking them and patting them.
I watched my husband mow the lawn and swim in a pool with our little girl. She splashed and loved every minute of it. She is not scared of the water anymore.
I snuck away with my husband and went and saw some ridiculous zombie movie in a theater! Just the two of us! (World War Z for those who care) I then sat across from Greg and had a conversation with just him at California Pizza Kitchen.
I ate delicious hummus and pita and he had a big cobb salad and quesadilla. We shopped together. (He bought a bug zapper... ha) We held hands. And we then picked up Charleigh. It was just what we needed.
I feel like I really soaked up the minutes. Sometimes you get caught up in everyday life that you forget it's a gift you're given. I remembered to appreciate this gift over my mini break.
It's a new week and I am recharged and ready to go. Let's do this! Float on...

*Also this happened... HAHAHA! Greg said I couldn't get in it. I had to prove him wrong but got stuck and tipped over in the process.

Dewey Beach 2013
Hello readers! Happy Monday! This past weekend we visited Dewey Beach, DE. This was our 2nd trip there and it was just as great as we remembered! We got some great pictures from the weekend.
When we first got there, Charleigh was mesmerized! She was pointing at the water and waves.
I was trying to entice her to come toward the water. She was standing her ground. Ha!
Finally put her toes in! It was icy cold.
Checking things out with papa.
She was keeping an eye on him : )
Ha! I love this picture! She saw a really big wave.
The sand was her favorite part! She cried when we had to leave.
Wake up papa!
There was a woman on the beach putting up a lot of flags. I'm not sure what they were for, but Charleigh (being the nosy girl she is) wandered over to say hi. The woman let her wave a small American flag.
We went back to the hotel and put Charleigh down. Greg and I got to sit on our balcony all evening and watch the sunset. He said it was the perfect birthday present! Score!
The next morning we grabbed some breakfast at a local hole in the wall with the best food. Charleigh and I shared pancakes and Greg had an omlet. We then went back to the beach. Charleigh has been obsessed with apples lately and here she is going to town with one.
Beach baby!
Early in the morning a lot of people are taking their dogs for walks. Puppies and the beach = Charleigh heaven.
Getting sleepy.
Giving papa a kiss.
Love these two.
Look at that tiny footprint.
Buried baby!

Dewey Beach!
Hola amigos and amigas! Happy Friday! We are going to the beach tomorrow. Another perk of Baltimore, besides that it is just awesome in general, is that we are close to the ocean!
It's less than 3 hours away. So we get up early Saturday morning and get to the beach before 10am. We have a hotel room for tomorrow night and will come back Sunday afternoon! This will be our 2nd annual trip to celebrate Greg's birthday.
I had actually surprised Greg with 2 nights away and we were supposed to be leaving at noon today, but work got in the way of that master plan. Boo.
This was Charleigh last year on the same weekend! Look at that little peanut. It will be interesting to see her reaction this year. There will be many pictures to come, plus stay tuned this weekend for her 15th and 16th month updates (finally!) I've had them written for some time and the pictures taken, just didn't have them uploaded. Slacking on the job!

Happy 28th to the boy!
There's nothing like a mini family party if you ask me. I think Greg agreed! We are heading to the beach early Saturday morning to really celebrate! Hope this is your best year yet love! Float on...
MDW 2013
Memorial Day weekend was sweet... until we all got sick. Ha! But let's focus on the good part of the story. We did a lot of summer things you should do! We grilled out, did yard work, let Charleigh play in her little pool, went to a baseball game, and Charleigh finished her gymnastic classes.
Charleigh feeding a bird her cereal.
Not sure who liked the foam pit more... Greg or Charleigh?
Beam work!
Greg telling Charleigh about baseball. Her first Nats game!
Somebody got too tired.
O's vs. Nats! The O's won!
The long weekend ended here for me. Bronchitis. Again.
Miss Charleigh had a double ear infection as well.
She's all better now.
