Moving madness.

March Madness is back today. Moving madness has also set it.

In college you move a lot. Each year you have new roommates and a new dorm, apartment, or home. You learn not to hold on to too much crap because otherwise you will have to move it. Ain't nobody got time for that! Moving stinks!

We haven't moved in 4 years. We got married, had a kid, bought some crap. It has... accumulated. I've been throwing out a ton of that stuff and donating what I can. Sometimes Greg creeps by and sees something he hasn't seen in 4 years and is like, "oh, we can't throw that out!" At first I tried to be understanding, but now that we are t-minus 2 days until the move, I wait for him to turn his head and POOF! It's gone.

If moving, I highly recomend the "POOF! It's gone" method.
The upside of moving is that
 a) you are on to bigger and better things. In this case, see the above picture? Just look at that cute little place! We get to call that our home in less than 48 hours. Talk about lucky!
b) Spring is tied to spring cleaning and is moving not the best way to clean?! You literally clean every inch of a new home and sort through all of your belongings. It's perfect!
c) Last, but certainly not least, two of my favorite people are coming this weekend. My little mom and Rod, her fiance, have graciously offered to make the 8 hour drive to help with all things moving related and care for Charleigh so we can get settled.
Also have to give a shout out to Greg's mom Amy and her husband Jon for their help as well. Did I mention how lucky we are?

Charleigh's belly laugh : )

Charleigh turns 14 Months!

Charleigh Liana, you are 14 months! That is awesome!
You are a happy, giggly little girl with a stubborn streak. Hmm, wonder who you get that from?
You love animals and animal sounds. We quiz you all day by asking what does the kitty say? What does the tiger say? What does the rooster say? You know most of your animals now. You say, "mama, papa, no no, yeah, cheese, cracker, more, milk, bye, hi." Your vocabulary is coming along.
Great picture huh? Lol!

We've made progress with your eating. You now eat strawberries, blueberries, and cheese. Waffles and yogurt are still your favorite. We mix fruit and vegetable baby food in your yogurt to make sure you are getting everything you need.
You love to play hide and seek. You love to chase us if we go into another room. You can climb off the chair or couch by yourself. You are doing just that in the picture above. Ha!
Grandma Amy gave you Baby Genius DVDs for Christmas and you are in love with the San Diego Zoo one. You will watch this over and over and over and... you get the point!
You're not too sure about hairbows ; ) but your hair is getting longer! You still sleep about 11-12 hours a night. You have 4 teeth on bottom and 4 on top. You wear size 18 month clothes and even fit in some 24 month things. You wear size 3 diapers.

You are about to have your own room and lots of space to run around in the new house! It will be so much fun for all of us.

And now for the best part, the month by month pictures! What a difference each month makes!
 One Month!
 Two Months!
 Three Months!
 Four Months!
 Five Months!
 Six Months!
 Seven Months!
Eight Months!
 Nine Months!
 Ten Months!
 Eleven Months!
 Twelve Months!
 Thirteen Months!
Fourteen Months!

You rock our world kid. We sure do love you. Float on baby girl...

Snow, Happy Birthday, And A Sneak Peek!

Good morning from snowy Baltimore! We woke up to find a heavy wet snow falling over the town. 4 inches has stuck around and caused a morning rush hour hassle. Baltimore County Schools closed. That's crazy considering it's almost April.
Didn't the groundhog predict early spring? Just saying...
Today is also a special day because it's my brother's birthday! Happy 31st birthday to you, butthead! See the picture below? That's us with our godparents kids, Benny and Katie. They are also like siblings to us.
Zach, I still feel this happy to have to sit next to you.

Moving day is Saturday! I think what I am most excited about, besides not having to always walk on top of 2 other people, is that Charleigh will have her own room. This will be her very first room. She's never had a nursery. She's never even had her own space. We have lived in a one-bedroom apartment her first year of life and we simple took our dining room table out of the living room/dining room and put in a pack and play. She never slept in our room, because we wanted to keep that our own space. Every night she goes to sleep and we are a mere 3-feet away from her on the couch watching TV in the living room. It's not ideal, but we have made it work.

*Before I get angry emails - we don't judge those of you who do co-sleep, it's just not for us! Save your angry emails for when I really piss you off. Thank you.
Anyways, here is a sneak peek of some things happening! I bought the words at the craft store and spray painted them. I bought that frame at the dollar store and put poster board in there and wrote the Shakespeare quote!  It's going to be a fun, inspiring room for a little girl! Yay!

Alanis was on to something

Happy Friday people! How are y'all doing in your brackets? Nothing too crazy going on yet. I did call the Oregon upset in one of my bracket's, but when you have 5 brackets, you don't really get bragging rights. Greg called the Harvard upset in one of his. Can't wait to see how things play out over the weekend.
On a completely separate note, you know that song that goes, "Isn't it ironic" by Alanis Morissette? She was on to something with that song. There are things in life that are designed to drive you crazy, like when you just mop the floor and someone (cough Greg cough) walks in with dirty shoes. Let's just vent and make a good old fashioned list, shall we?
When you think you've sent a text message and you're waiting for a reply only to realize an hour later that you never sent it.

When you go to the grocery store to get milk and bread and leave with everything but milk and bread.

That person who doesn't immediatly go when the light turns green. I may have a bit of road rage, but honestly, do we need to sit at this green light and extra 10 seconds? No!

When you can't find something and the person you're with says what's the last place you had it? Really? If I knew the last place I had it, I'd have it now! HA!

Happy weekend and float on...

Happy bracket day!

Hola friends. Glad you are here today. Happy bracket day! I've filled out 1 for work and 4 with friends/family members. I try not to pick the same everytime, but I have certain favorites. The work one is important for bragging rights and the winner gets $100! I picked Kansas to win it all. I have no idea why. Everyone is talking up Louisville. That's reason enough for me not to pick them.

We've got less than 3 hours until the madness begins! Wooo!

I woke up not 100% today. Got a wicked case of the chills and my muscles feel achy. Hoping it's nothing more that a quick case of the blahs!
Anywho, this will be our last weekend in our tiny little apartment. We move Easter weekend! Cardboard boxes and duct tape will be controlling our lives for the next week or so. Should be an adventure. We haven't moved in 4 years and I'm guessing we will find a bunch of junk to donate and get rid of. Talk about spring cleaning! This is perfect timing for a move.

For all family and friends reading, can you believe that next month we might have a couch for you to sit on or perhaps an actual table to have dinner at? Moving on up!

I was feeling sentimental today.

So I thought I would dig up some old pictures to share. There is no rhyme or reason for today's post and the pictures are completely random, but sometimes it's fun to reminisce and I'm sure a lot of family reading have never seen these pictures! Happy Tuesday!
Greg and his nephew Aidan. I think this was about 6 years ago.
 Baby Tupe!
While spending a summer in the Upper Pennisula of Michigan, I found a treat of fudge shaped like... well, just look at it! Ha!
Grandpa Rod meeting baby Charleigh!
Our first trip to Shenandoah. It's become one of my most favorite places that I've ever been to.
Greg and his best friend James. Jame's is Charleigh honorary uncle!
My little mom.
Me and Johnny Unitas playing football : )

Group trip to Shenandoah (this was taken after the hike from hell. It was miles and miles... UPHILL! We all wanted to die.)
Our honeymoon!
Greg's gramma and cousin Hannah visiting us in the spring of 2012, right after Charleigh was born.
Greg surprised me with a rock climbing adventure about 3 years ago. There is an awesome indoor rock climbing center about 2 miles from our home!
Greg, Gramma, Aunt Jodi, and Uncle Tim. This was during a trip to Rouster's Apple Orchard in Ohio. Rouster's is now closed. I had been going there every year since I was about 6-years-old.
Fishing! (Didn't catch a thing ; )
A rare picture of both of my parents at my brother's graduation from Stanford.
A Maryland delicacy! Greg and his crab legs. Eww!
Baltimore blizzard of 2010! We got 22 inches on a Friday and then got an additonal 20 inches the following Monday. There were over 40 inches of snow on the ground. This is a story I will tell my great grandchildren. I have never seen anything like it.
 Being touristy in DC.
Our neice Lila at our wedding. Isn't she adorable? She just turned 4-years-old last week!
Greg and his dad in the city.
Tupe and I carving pumpkins.
 Greg's mom meeting Charleigh.
Cheering on Adam Dunn when he still played for the Nats.
 39+ weeks pregnant. Ugh!
My 22nd birthday at my mom's house. Love these people.
My BFF Kristy! Whom I must say I am missing and thinking of today. Love ya!
