Hey guys and gals. How about that Pat Summitt special last night? I loved the story of Pat in labor telling those around her that she refused to give birth in Virginia because Virginia had beat her team 6 months earlier. I found her attitude of not playing the victim inspiring. No matter what you are facing in life, don't make excuses and don't play the victim. Wow. She is my role model and I thought the documentary was so well done. Her son will carry on her legacy. I'm sure of it. He seems to have a lot of her instilled in him.
Even though Pat would frown at me right now, I do have to say, do you know what I am the victim of? Probably not because you're not a mind reader, but it's junk mail! I, your loyal blog writer, am the victim of obsessive amounts of junk mail. GOOD LORD Capital One, MasterCard, and other random credit card companies! GIVE IT A REST! I don't want your plastic. Let's get real here! Sending me 3 letters a day ain't gonna make me want your plastic. Mind your business!
I hope someone from the credit card company is reading to day (Or at least the mail demon who sends this crap out!)
Float on...
I know what you mean! I get a Citi card application almost every day in the mail! So annoying!
ReplyDeleteSo it could be a complete coincidence but once I did this for awhile the junk mail stopped. All those credit card offers always come with a prepaid envelope, so I take everything that came including the torn original envelope, shove it in the prepaid one, and mail it back to them! They have to pay the postage on it plus someone to open it and sort through even though I didn't fill anything out.
