Has anyone else been watching the Oscar Pistorius trial? I think this man is as guilty as guilty can be, but I fear he will walk away from this without justice being served. I know you are innocent until proven guilty, but sometimes our justice system fails us. (Think Casey Anthony)
Pistorius claims he woke up after hearing a noise in the middle of the night. He assumed his girlfriend was asleep next to him, then got his gun, and fired four shots into the bathroom door. He then realized his girlfriend was in fact not next to him in bed and knocked in the locked bathroom door to find her.
During this trial the guy has been over the top. His dramatic behavior (crying, shaking) and literally throwing up in court are too much. I don't buy it. The evidence of the saved text messages from his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp are crippling. She was afraid of him and how he "snaps." Her text messages also imply that Pistorius was jealous and manipulative, accusing her of flirting with other people.
The most incriminating part of the prosecution are the neighbors. Several neighbors have testified that they awoke to an audible argument and loud female screaming. A few have even testified that they saw lights on in Pistorius's house.
He faces life in prision with a minimum of 25 years before parole. I hope he gets every bit of it.
Float on...
