Checking in

Mother’s day was nice. I had some time at the gym. We went to a local park we’ve never been too and had a picnic.
We decided to walk on one of the trails and Charleigh had a huge meltdown. Ha! It was too close to her naptime and she was done. I was the mom carrying the toddler flaring her arms and arching her back down the trail.
Every mom that walked by just gave me that head nod like we’ve all been there! What can you do? After her nap she was back to her normal self. We made a mess in the kitchen with painting and we played outside all evening.

Charleigh's daycare has had "soccer Tuesdays" for the past 8 weeks. They practiced running and kicking the soccer ball. Yesterday was her last day of it and the kids were given trophies. Charleigh was so proud to show us. She even took it to bed with her last night.

Our air conditioning is broke at home. It’s been sticky hot here the past week, so it’s been uncomfortable at night. Poor Charleigh wakes up sweaty. We have a repair guy coming out today. He was supposed to come between 7-8am and at 8:30 he still weren’t here. Hopefully it’s fixed by this evening.

Greg’s dad and Jean are coming to visit us this upcoming weekend. It will be nice to see them and Charleigh can’t wait. The weather looks nice too!

Float on…

  1. How cute! Kids of Charleigh's age do know when it's time for a nap. You can't do anything about it, but just let them doze off for a while. Too bad your AC unit looks like it wants to hibernate too. Did the repairman arrive soon after? I hope he did. You don't want little Charleigh grumpy due to an uncomfortable nap. Take care!

  2. It seems like you guys had a lot of fun on mother’s day. Too bad you had a broken AC unit for a week. But it’s great that you had that fixed right away. Anyway, mother’s day is almost here again, and I hope you guys will have a lot of fun again – minus the broken AC. Thanks for sharing!

  3. It’s great to know that despite the broken air conditioning, you guys still managed to have a lot of fun. I just hope it didn’t take too long for it to get fixed. Anyway, thanks for sharing this with us. Have a great day!
