Things I've learned being a mom.

I've only been a mom for a little over 15 months. I am no expert. In fact, I am about as far from expert as you can get. Greg and I are just sort of winging it ; ) However, I have learned a thing or two along the way...

*When I ask my daughter where her nose is, she will proudly point to her nose (win!) and then immediately pick her nose (fail!)
*I now know how to mom dance, but I would never... okay, I might do the sprinkler, but I would never EVER "happy snap!" Check it out!. Still one of my favorite videos ever. The "Out of Sync Electric Slide" slays me. Jimmy Fallon nails it. Oh lord, now I have to go watch it again.
*I can now pinpoint the exact second my child is going to toss that ravioli off her high chair tray and I have a 88% success rate of catching it before it hits the ground.

*That last fact directly correlates with how I am now an expert at getting stains out of carpet.
*When someone in a crowded elevator asks, "what is that smell!?" It's my kid.
*You can never, EVER have too many diapers or wipes. Just trust me.
*If given crayons to color or Play-Doh to fool around with, Charleigh will eat them. Every time.
*If Charleigh is completely occupied and playing in one room and I sneak to another room to grab a snack or drink, I'll look down and magically see her at my feet asking for "more?" (I've also learned how to share all of my snacks or drinks...)
*The one time you forget a change of clothes, a tissue, or a diaper, is the one time you will need it. Bad.

Float on...
